Mercedes-Benz GLS from Dubai

First define the objective and budget

For the Mercedes-Benz GLS the country and city of collection, desired trim, year, acceptable mileage and pre-delivery budget are fixed in advance. It is a premium family SUV.

The listing price is only one part of the expenses. Inspections, paperwork, internal logistics within the UAE, export, transport and costs in the destination country are accounted for separately.

What to check before payment

Minimum inspection checklist: VIN, engine, air suspension, options and history. The listing's information is checked against the actual vehicle and its documents.

For expensive and technically complex cars, computer diagnostics do not replace inspection of the body, components and testing of available functions. Any limitations of the inspection must be explicitly stated in the report.

Verification of the seller and the estimate

Before transferring funds, confirm the party to the transaction, payment details, payment basis and the list of documents the client will receive. If the terms change, a new estimate is agreed before payment.

It's useful to compare options using a single method: purchase price plus all confirmed expenses to the same destination point.

Export and delivery

The transport method is chosen after confirming the specific vehicle and the available route. Container, Ro-Ro and combined logistics have different constraints, timeframes and cost components.

Before shipment, the vehicle's condition, VIN, mileage and completeness are recorded. The client receives the export and transport documents related to their transaction.

When to walk away

Reasons to halt the deal include mismatched VIN or documents, inability to verify the seller, significant hidden damage, unclear payment details, or a final cost that is no longer reasonable.

A good selection process includes the option to walk away from a specific vehicle and continue the search. The goal is to buy a suitable example, not to complete an already started deal at any cost.
